The Japanese convenience store chain, Lawson Japan, has launched a very exciting campaign for game fans! The star of this event is the new “Variable Card” for the PlayStation® Store. To celebrate its release, a special event is being held where you can enter a lottery to win a PlayStation®5 Digital Edition console and other official merchandise that fans won’t want to miss.

How to Enter the Campaign
Entering is very simple.
During the campaign period, purchase a PlayStation® Store Variable Card for ¥10,000 or more at any Lawson, Natural Lawson, or Lawson Store 100 location nationwide in Japan.
After your purchase, simply visit the campaign website’s entry form and enter the “barcode number” found on the back of the card to apply.

Be aware that this campaign has separate “purchase” and “application” periods.
The Purchase Period is from Monday, December 1, to Sunday, January 4, 2026.
And the Application Period is from Monday, December 1, to Friday, January 9, 2026.
An important point to note is that cards purchased on or after January 5, 2026, are not eligible for the campaign. If you plan to make a purchase over the New Year’s holidays, it’s best to buy the card and submit your entry early to be safe.
Eligible Card Types
This campaign is only eligible for purchases of ¥10,000 or more on a PlayStation® Store Variable Card.
The “Variable Card” is a common type of prepaid card in Japan. It’s a card that you can load with a desired amount at the register by telling the cashier how much you want to add. For example, you can choose a specific amount like “¥15,000,” which is its key feature.
Please be careful not to purchase the wrong type of card, as purchases of ¥9,999 or less, ‘PlayStation® Store Tickets’ bought from the in-store Loppi terminals, and online digital gift cards are not eligible for this campaign.

What’s interesting about this campaign is that the number of entries you get depends on the purchase amount.
A purchase of ¥10,000 – ¥19,999 gets you 1 entry
A purchase of ¥20,000 – ¥29,999 gets you 2 entries
A purchase of ¥30,000 – ¥39,999 gets you 3 entries
A purchase of ¥40,000 – ¥49,999 gets you 4 entries
A purchase of ¥50,000 gets you 5 entries
Thus, the higher your purchase amount, the more entries you get, increasing your chances of winning. Additionally, when you enter, you can allocate your entries among the prizes. For example, if you have five entries, you can strategize based on what you want most, such as allocating three entries to the “PlayStation®5” and two to the desk mat.
