A special new sweet has been born through a joint development between Lawson, a major Japanese convenience store (Konbini), and Japan Airlines (JAL). Eight varieties of “Regional Premium Roll Cakes,” supervised by active JAL Group cabin attendants (CAs), will be released simultaneously across limited areas in Japan starting the evening of Tuesday, February 24, 2026.
This project merges the perspective of CAs—”professionals of the sky” who are intimately familiar with the charms of various regions in Japan—with the technology of Lawson’s popular “Uchi Café Premium Roll Cake” brand, which has sold over 400 million units. Each roll cake encapsulates local specialties and traditional food cultures, allowing you to enjoy the feeling of traveling through Japan from the comfort of your home.
Additionally, other collaborative products will be available, such as “Karaage-kun” (Japanese fried chicken nuggets) inspired by JAL’s popular in-flight “Onion Consommé Soup.” Related Article 🇯🇵
