Another winter delight has arrived in Japan. Sanrio’s popular characters are back in a dazzling holiday-themed “Happy Kuji” lottery. This special collection will be released sequentially at Lawson stores across Japan, starting from Saturday, December 6, 2025.
If you’ve ever visited Japan, you might be familiar with the “kuji” culture. It’s a very popular form of entertainment in Japanese convenience stores and bookstores, where you pay an entry fee and are guaranteed to win some kind of exclusive merchandise, with no losing tickets. This Happy Kuji costs 850 yen (tax included) per try, and the items are only available while supplies last, making it an unmissable event for Sanrio fans.
The theme this time is the “Holiday Collection.” Based on the concept of a special winter treat, it features an elegant and mature design based on navy, white, and gold. The characters are depicted in brand-new, original designs, dressed in sparkling winter attire. It’s a gorgeous and heart-fluttering lineup, perfect as a reward for yourself or as a gift for someone special.
Special Prize: BIG! Kuromi Plushie

One of the main highlights of this lottery is the special prize. The popular character “Kuromi” has been transformed into an impressive plushie, standing at about 40cm tall. Made from a soft, fluffy material, she wears a special outfit designed exclusively for this collection. This gorgeously dressed Kuromi will surely bring the holiday spirit to any room.
A Prize: Figures

The A Prize features a total of 10 different character figures. Sanrio’s popular characters are dressed in matching navy-based outfits. They are meticulously detailed, and the jewels they wear are painted with a metallic finish, with a gold gleam that creates a sense of luxury. Which character you get is a surprise until you open the box.
B Prize: Plushie Charms

These are five types of plushie charms that you can attach to your bag or keys. They feature adorable designs, also dressed in the exclusive Holiday Collection outfits. Though small, they have a strong presence, allowing you to be with your favorite character at all times. Among young people in Japan, attaching such charms to bags is a common fashion style.
C Prize: Gift Pouches

Perfect for holiday season gifts, here are four types of gift pouches. Their elegant coloring and design are ideal for storing small items like accessories and cosmetics. Presenting a gift in one of these pouches is sure to make it even more special. Of course, they are also great for your own personal use.
D Prize: Canisters

Beautifully designed canisters, like little jewelry boxes, are available in 10 different types. They are perfect as trinket boxes and also make wonderful decorative items on their own. Each character has a different design, sparking the desire to collect them all.
E Prize: Acrylic Charms

Acrylic charms are a staple of Japanese pop culture merchandise. There are 10 different designs, featuring the characters beautifully printed on a transparent material. They sparkle when held up to the light, further enhancing the holiday mood. Their easy-to-collect size is also a reason for their popularity.
F Prize: Can Badge SET

This prize consists of five different sets of can badges. Each set includes multiple badge designs, broadening the scope of your collection. You can enjoy them in various ways, such as attaching them to bags and clothes or decorating your room. Trading with friends could also be fun.
G Prize: Multi-Case

A convenient multi-case for storing various items like tickets, cards, and face masks. There are 10 designs available, all combining practicality with cuteness. It’s useful for neatly organizing small items that tend to get scattered during travel or in daily life.
H Prize: Sticker SET with Mini Case

This is a set of stickers with different designs and a small case to store them in. With five types available, they are perfect for customizing your smartphone, laptop, or suitcase to your liking. The mini case is also cute and can be used as a small container.
LAST Prize: BIG! Cinnamoroll Plushie

One of the interesting features of Japanese lottery culture is the “LAST Prize.” This refers to a special prize given to the person who draws the very last ticket at a store. This time, the ever-popular “Cinnamoroll” appears as a very large plushie, standing about 40cm tall. Similar to the Special Prize Kuromi, it features soft, fluffy material and a gorgeous outfit, making it an absolutely unmissable and extremely valuable item for fans.
