Starting Tuesday, February 17, 2026, a large-scale collaboration with the anime Gintama: The Movie – Yoshiwara in Flames (Shin Gekijoban Gintama – Yoshiwara Dai Enjo) will begin at “Lawson” stores nationwide in Japan. Lawson is one of Japan’s leading konbini (convenience store) chains and frequently holds collaborations with popular anime series.

The “Yoshiwara in Flames Arc” is one of the most popular story arcs in the Gintama series. It is characterized by serious developments, intense battles, and profound drama. In this campaign, that intense worldview is recreated on the shelves of the convenience store. Not only will there be merchandise sales, but the entire store will be dyed in Gintama colors with exclusive gifts for purchasing eligible products and foods with original packaging.
Get Original Clear Files (First Come, First Served)
The campaign starts at 7:00 AM on Tuesday, February 17, 2026. It runs until Monday, March 2, but it is not uncommon for goods of popular characters in Japanese konbini collaborations to sell out immediately after the start. If you want to be sure to get them, we recommend visiting the store early.
Full Lineup of 8 Characters
The bonus item this time is “Clear File Folders.” These are standard collector’s items in Japanese otaku culture. While they are stationery for organizing documents, many fans enjoy displaying them like posters because of the high-quality illustrations printed on them.
The designs are very elaborate, with each character drawn in detail. The lineup consists of the following 8 characters:
- Gintoki Sakata
- Shinpachi Shimura
- Kagura
- Kamui
- Abuto
- Tsukuyo
- Toshiro Hijikata
- Sogo Okita

In addition to the three main characters from the “Yorozuya,” the lineup captures fans’ hearts by including Kamui, Abuto, and Tsukuyo, who are key persons in this “Yoshiwara in Flames” theme. Furthermore, two members of the popular organization “Shinsengumi” are also included, making for a lineup that makes it hard to decide which combination to get.
Requirements and Eligible Products
The method to get them is simple. Just take any 2 of the designated “eligible snack products” inside the store and bring them to the register along with one clear file of your choice. However, there is a purchase limit of one per type per person, for a total of 8 files per transaction.
The eligible products are popular series from “Lotte,” a major Japanese confectionery manufacturer. They range from chocolates to gum. Japanese snacks are reputed to be high quality and delicious, so they are also perfect as souvenirs.
