Japanese confectionery maker Yamazaki Biscut (YBC) has announced a collaboration with the globally beloved anime “Doraemon.”
To coincide with the February 27, 2026 release of the movie “New Nobita’s Underwater Ghost Castle,” Japan’s popular cocoa cookie “Noir” will get a Doraemon makeover. Particularly noteworthy is the introduction of a “dorayaki-style” flavor, recreating Doraemon’s favorite treat.
Here are the details on this collaboration set to brighten Japan’s spring snack time.

Japan-Exclusive Design and Unique New Flavors
For this collaboration, products featuring original packaging illustrated with Doraemon and friends will be released nationwide in Japan starting February 2026. Furthermore, two unique limited-edition flavors are lined up to surprise fans.

Cookies with a “Dorayaki-Flavored” Taste Evoking Japanese Culture

The star product is the “Dorayaki-Style Noir.”
“Dorayaki” is a traditional Japanese sweet consisting of castella-style sponge cakes sandwiching “anko” (red bean paste). It’s known worldwide as one of Doraemon’s favorite foods.
While Noir cookies are typically cocoa-flavored, this product recreates the taste of dorayaki. Defying the brand’s usual cocoa cookie identity, this item features an anko-flavored cream filling, showcasing the playful creativity unique to a Japanese manufacturer.
This product will be available for early purchase at convenience stores (Konbini) nationwide in Japan.

Also, don’t miss the “Salt Milk Flavor” launching in April.
The setting for this movie is the “ocean floor.” The “salt” flavor, evoking the sea, links directly to the film’s world. Enjoying it while looking at the packaging will let you soak in the movie’s afterglow.

Movie Release Commemorative Campaign
A gift campaign will also be held to commemorate the movie’s release.

The first is an X (formerly Twitter) campaign. Follow the official YBC account and repost the designated post for a chance to win a pair of movie tickets (Movie Ticket) in a lottery. This campaign runs daily until Tuesday, January 27, 2026.
