Lawson, one of Japan’s major convenience stores (Konbini), will release four new limited-edition designs of the “Original Tamagotchi” starting Saturday, March 14, 2026.
Tamagotchi is a keychain-sized digital pet simulation game that originated in Japan in the 1990s and became a global social phenomenon. The upcoming release features revival designs originally developed for the Western market. The lineup is incredibly appealing, ranging from re-releases of the original Gen 1 models to Western versions of the beloved “Tenshitchi” (Tamagotchi Angel) series.

4. Rainy Angel (GEN3)
Also from the “GEN3” series is “Rainy Angel.” It features whimsical and adorable artwork inspired by a rainy day landscape.
