Japanese convenience store chain FamilyMart has announced a major collaboration project with the hugely popular idol group “HKT48,” based in the Kyushu region. This “FamilyMart x HKT48 Community-Focused Kyushu Support Project” will kick off sequentially starting Thursday, November 27, 2025, at approximately 1,500 FamilyMart stores across the seven prefectures of the Kyushu region (Fukuoka, Saga, Nagasaki, Kumamoto, Oita, Miyazaki, and Kagoshima) and parts of Yamaguchi Prefecture.
This project brings together FamilyMart, which aims to stay close to the community, and HKT48, which celebrates its 15th anniversary this year. Under the slogan “HKT to Conbini” (a play on “HKT and Convenience Store”), they will work together to energize the Kyushu region. This initiative can be seen as the forefront of “oshi-katsu” (activities supporting a specific idol or character) developed by Japanese convenience stores, making it a must-see event not just for fans.
Enjoy Local Flavors with Idols! Exclusive Collab Products Revealed
One of the highlights of this project is the first-ever product collaboration with HKT48. In honor of the group’s home base, Fukuoka Prefecture, special bread and sweets have been developed using locally loved ingredients. These products will be available for a limited three-week period starting Tuesday, December 2, 2025, exclusively at FamilyMart stores in the Kyushu region.
Mentai France

The price is 167 yen (180 yen including tax). A soft French bread dough is filled with a generous amount of Fukuoka’s specialty, mentaiko (a spicy cod roe), and topped with a mentaiko-mayo sauce before being baked to a savory finish. The combination of the spicy, flavorful mentaiko and the bread is the quintessential taste of Fukuoka.
Roll Cake with Whip & Amaou Strawberry Sauce

The price is 184 yen (198 yen including tax). This sweet features a sauce made from the concentrated juice of the famous “Amaou” brand strawberries from Fukuoka Prefecture. A fluffy sponge cake gently wraps a generous amount of whipped cream and the sweet-and-sour Amaou strawberry sauce. It’s a delightful treat with an exquisite balance between the sweetness of the cream and the fresh acidity of the strawberries.
HKT48 Takes Over Stores! Special Themed Locations
The collaboration isn’t just about food. During the campaign period, special themed stores decorated inside and out with photos of HKT48 members will appear in five prefectures across Kyushu. For fans, these locations will become like sacred grounds where they can shop surrounded by their favorite members.
As the first installment, the “FamilyMart Hakataeki-Minami 3-chome” store in Fukuoka City will be completely transformed into an HKT48-themed location for a full year, starting Thursday, November 27, 2025.

With both its exterior and interior decked out entirely in HKT48 imagery, this store is set to become a new tourist spot for fans visiting Fukuoka.
Idols Become Store Clerks? “One-Day Store Manager” Events
In another exciting part of the project, selected HKT48 members will don the FamilyMart uniform and work in the store for “One-Day Store Manager” events. A dream-like experience awaits fans, who will be greeted directly by the members.
The first event is scheduled for Friday, December 19, at a FamilyMart store within Fukuoka City. Detailed information, including which members will participate and at which store the event will be held, will be announced on the official website at https://www.hkt48.jp/, so be sure to check it frequently.
Fans Across Japan Can Participate! Exclusive “Famima Print” Bromides
There’s good news for fans living outside the Kyushu region, too. Special limited-edition HKT48 photo prints (bromides) commemorating this collaboration will be available through the “Famima Print” service, which allows customers to purchase original content from multi-function copiers installed in FamilyMart stores nationwide in Japan.

Titled “HKT48 15th Anniversary Bromide – Part 1,” this series will cost 300 yen per L-size print (including tax). They will be available for a limited time from Friday, December 19, 2025, to Saturday, January 31, 2026. Fans can choose and print their favorite designs from a total of 39 types.
This project shows that Japanese convenience stores are more than just retail outlets; they are unique entities deeply connected to local communities and culture. If you have the chance to visit Kyushu during this period, why not stop by a nearby FamilyMart to experience this special collaboration for yourself?
