Starting Thursday, April 23, 2026, the “Kure Strategic Operation,” a limited-time campaign, will be held at Lawson stores in Kure, Hiroshima—one of Japan’s premier port cities. This event celebrates the 13th anniversary of the popular game and anime franchise “Kancolle” (Kantai Collection) and the grand reopening of the “Yamato Museum” (Kure Maritime Museum).
“Kancolle” is a leading Japanese entertainment franchise featuring “Kanmusu” (Ship-girls), who are anthropomorphized versions of historical warships. Set in Kure, a city famous as a historic naval base, this campaign will feature limited-edition items and special store decorations to support the “expeditions” of fans (known as Admirals). It’s a perfect “strategic base” to visit while exploring the newly renovated Yamato Museum.

This campaign will run for a limited period from 10:00 AM on Thursday, April 23, 2026, until 8:00 PM on Sunday, May 10, 2026. During this time, participating Lawson stores in Kure will be decorated with banners and posters, wrapping the entire town in a festive atmosphere.
The campaign centers around two stores designated as “Anchorages” (泊地, Hakuchi—a safe place for ships to anchor), using naval terminology:
【Main Anchorage】 Lawson Kure Takaramachi

- Address: 7-10 Takaramachi, Kure, Hiroshima
【Support Anchorage】 Lawson Kure Nakadori 3-chome

Both stores are located near the “Yamato Museum,” famous for its 1/10th scale model of the Battleship Yamato. Please note that limited items are available in restricted quantities and sales will end once they are sold out, so an early visit is highly recommended.
