Major Japanese convenience store “FamilyMart” (commonly known as a konbini) will launch a joint project in Japan’s Kyushu region with the popular Fukuoka-based idol group “HKT48” starting Tuesday, April 7, 2026. This project, which has been ongoing since 2025, is a special initiative to celebrate HKT48’s 15th anniversary and FamilyMart’s commitment to community engagement across the entire Kyushu region.

Energizing Kyushu through the “HKT48 at the Konbini” Community Project
This project is driven by a strong desire to contribute to Japanese regional revitalization. It brings together FamilyMart, which aims to be a “family-like presence in the community” across Japan, and HKT48, which delivers energy from Hakata, Fukuoka. By utilizing the network of approximately 1,500 stores in the Kyushu region, the collaboration provides entertainment that stays close to the local community.
The year 2026 marks the 15th anniversary of HKT48 since its formation in 2011. Being able to enjoy “Oshikatsu” (the activity of supporting one’s favorite idol) at a local neighborhood konbini during this milestone year is a great joy for fans. The partnership is expected to expand into social contribution activities in the future, creating a deep bond that goes beyond simple product sales.
