FamilyMart, one of Japan’s leading “Konbini” (convenience store) chains, has announced a limited-edition “Coca-Cola” design in collaboration with HUMAN MADE, the lifestyle brand founded by world-renowned street fashion icon NIGO. This project is part of FamilyMart’s “Ichiban Challenge” (No. 1 Challenge), an initiative marking the company’s upcoming 45th anniversary in 2026. Under the theme “Find the Very Best,” this collaboration updates the globally beloved Coca-Cola with a stylish, art-inspired aesthetic.

Limited Edition Cans Launching at FamilyMart Stores Across Japan on April 7

The highlight of this release is the specially designed Coca-Cola can that reflects HUMAN MADE’s unique worldview. Starting Tuesday, April 7, 2026, these cans will be available simultaneously at approximately 16,400 FamilyMart locations throughout Japan.

This limited design focuses not only on the beverage itself but also on the excitement of holding the can and its aesthetic appeal as a piece of “desk interior.” The classic charm of Coca-Cola, a brand with over 140 years of history, has been infused with the playful spirit of NIGO, who currently serves as the Artistic Director for KENZO. This offers a unique experience where world-class design becomes accessible through the everyday convenience of a Japanese Konbini.

Exclusive Prize Lineup

The most notable prize is an item inspired by “Hariko,” a traditional Japanese papier-mâché folk craft. Each piece is handcrafted by skilled artisans to replicate the shape of a Coca-Cola can. The bottom features HUMAN MADE’s iconic heart logo, creating a masterpiece that beautifully fuses traditional culture, modern street fashion, and a global brand.

Campaign Overview:

  • Application Period: Tuesday, April 7, 2026 – Friday, May 8, 2026

Shibuya Store Transformed into a “HUMAN MADE” Concept Location

To commemorate the launch, the FamilyMart Shibuya Koen-dori location—situated in the heart of Tokyo’s youth culture—will be fully “wrapped” in a limited-time collaboration design.

The “Future” Proposed by Creative Director NIGO and HUMAN MADE

This project was led by NIGO, the Japanese fashion designer who currently serves as the Artistic Director for the French luxury brand KENZO. Since 2025, NIGO has also served as the Creative Director for FamilyMart, working to evolve Japanese convenience store culture into something even more stylish.

The concept of HUMAN MADE is “The Future Is In The Past.” This philosophy of reinterpreting the excellence of vintage items through a modern lens and carrying it into the future resonates strongly with the 140-year legacy of Coca-Cola.

This project goes beyond street fashion aesthetics by incorporating deep cultural elements like “Hariko.” We invite you to experience the “joy beyond convenience” proposed by FamilyMart Japan through these limited-edition design cans.
