A traditional Japanese dish made from 100% red algae seaweed (tengusa). It has a unique, jelly-like slippery texture and is served with a refreshing dressing of vinegar, soy sauce, and sweet rice wine, topped with a touch of spicy mustard. It is incredibly convenient to prepare; there is no need to drain any water from the container—simply pour the dressing over it and enjoy. While it can be stored and carried at room temperature, it is best enjoyed chilled. You can easily eat it in your hotel room with just a fork or chopsticks.
