Just in time for the special year-end and New Year party season, Seven-Eleven Japan is launching a limited-time super-sized version of its popular “Cup Deli” side dish salads! Named the “Mori-Mori” (Heaping) series, these items boast an astonishing volume of up to 1.8 times the regular size, making them perfect for sharing.
Japanese Konbini are well-known for their extensive selection of single-serving side dishes (deli), which are convenient for adding an extra item to a meal, especially for those living alone. Seven-Eleven’s “Cup Deli” is a prime example of this, a popular series used by many when they want an easy way to get more vegetables or balance their meals.
However, during the year-end/New Year period and the summer Obon holidays, when gatherings become more frequent, there have been requests for “a large size that everyone can share.” In response to this demand, a large-capacity Cup Deli was test-marketed in some regions in the summer of 2025 and proved to be extremely popular.
Following that success, it has been decided that the product will finally be launched across Japan (excluding some areas) starting from Tuesday, December 16th. It looks set to become a reliable go-to for easily brightening up the table at all sorts of gatherings, from home parties with family and friends to office year-end parties.
Creamy & Spicy! The “Mori-Mori Bacon Pepper Macaroni Salad” That’s Also a Great Snack

First up is the “Mori-Mori Bacon Pepper Macaroni Salad,” boasting a weight of approximately 1.8 times the regular version. Priced at 328 yen (354.24 yen including tax), it will be released sequentially at stores across Japan starting Tuesday, December 16th.

The appeal of this salad lies in the masterful fusion of creamy, mild macaroni salad with the savory flavor of aromatic bacon and the sharp kick of black pepper. When you take a bite, the gentle taste of the macaroni spreads first, followed by the saltiness of the bacon and the sharp bite of the pepper as you chew. This exquisite combination stimulates the appetite, making you reach for the next bite without thinking.

Although it’s called a “salad,” its rich and robust flavor performs exceptionally well as an accompaniment to alcoholic drinks like beer and wine—a so-called “otsumami (snack that goes well with alcohol).” It might just steal the spotlight at your year-end holiday dinner table or during your evening drinks, holding its own against any other dish.
A Refreshing Palate Cleanser! The “Mori-Mori Refreshing Glass Noodle Salad with 5 Ingredients”

The other new item is the “Mori-Mori Refreshing Glass Noodle Salad with 5 Ingredients,” which comes in a size approximately 1.5 times larger than the regular version. It is priced at 298 yen (321.84 yen including tax) and will also be available starting Tuesday, December 16th.

This is a glass noodle salad with a refreshing soy sauce-based dressing, accented by the fragrant aroma of sesame oil. In addition to the smooth glass noodles, it is packed with five different ingredients: chicken, carrots, wood ear mushrooms, shredded egg crepe, and bean sprouts, creating a light yet satisfying dish.

The year-end and New Year holiday table is often filled with rich and heavy dishes like fried foods, hot pots, and meat. At times like these, this refreshing glass noodle salad plays a major role as a “great supporting act” to cleanse your palate. Eating it between bites of richer food will make the next bite taste even more delicious. It’s an item that gently helps balance the often-heavy winter diet.
The Secret to Its Deliciousness is a Commitment to Freshness

Of course, Seven-Eleven’s Cup Deli is not just about taste; there is also an extraordinary commitment to freshness. They strive to keep the factory cooking time as short as possible to preserve that just-made flavor. Furthermore, a special film is used for the container’s lid. This is a technique called “top sealing,” which reduces the amount of oxygen inside the container to prevent spoilage and maintain freshness for longer. Seven-Eleven explains this technology in detail in a video.
Seven-Eleven’s “Mori-Mori Cup Deli” can add convenience and authentic flavor to your special year-end and New Year’s table. It can be called a prime example of the meticulous product development unique to Japanese Konbini, which responds to seasonal needs. When you stop by your local Seven-Eleven, be sure to check it out.
