A hearty specialty from Fujiyoshida City at the foot of Mt. Fuji. These noodles are exceptionally thick and much chewier than standard udon. They are served with boiled cabbage, simmered pork, tempura, and fried tofu, all accented by a unique spicy condiment called “Suridane.” It is a satisfying, high-volume meal that is even more filling than a large plate of pasta.
